[Pain shall show you the One True Way] I sprained my knee (MCL). The doctor recommended the usual rest, ice, compression, elevation, and such, and said to give it time and slowly work my way back to using it and "let pain be your guide" in terms of "if it hurts, don't do that" kind of philosophy. It all makes sense, yet it sounds a bit more sinister, kind of a Sith-like philosophy. You know, "Pain shall be my guide, I shall have no others. It is my constant companion. The only thing I can trust. I shall share Its dark gifts with the world and they shall know my name and they shall know Pain."

I'm not particularly that grim though. The figure on crutches, representing, though looking in no way like, me actually came from a picture I found online of Gweneth Paltrow on crutches. I just needed a side view (or mostly side view) of someone on crutches with their leg bent and behind the crutches. The figure of Pain was simply from my imagination. He must be twisted, gaunt, and deformed, and he carries a twisted, deformed staff from a knarly, rough hewn, thorny tree. I may make a color version of this.

I did. images/Drawings/Sketches/pain.png
