[The Toothpaste of Fear!] OK...I suppose it's my fault. I didn't think things through and decided to carry on a bag rather than check it and pay an extra $50. And in doing so, I didn't remember to get rid of the normal sized container of toothpaste that I normally use (which apparently can cause a great deal of fear in people). It was discovered and confiscated. The hotel had mini-tubes of toothpaste for free, so that was fine and the trip back was smooth. But then I had to go to the grocery store and buy yet another tube of toothpaste, and I had to decide what size I should buy. You know, mini, small, travel, tiny, or the normal size which in the above drawing contains words that I don't want to use in web pages that can be searched. Eventually, my frugality won out and I bought the huge tube which was the better value, and with luck I will remember to remove it the next time I want to fly somewhere.

Note the nice old-school Pink Panther style bomb with a fuse on the 16 oz box.

This was a fairly quick drawing, though I did take the time to ink it. I wasn't sure at first how I wanted to position things. I wanted to show the guy's face as well as his hand reaching for the box, and the other boxes. Originally I was going to do it from inside the shelf looking out, but that seemed too difficult to draw. If it was from behind the guy, then I couldn't show his face. Then I realized I wanted a reaction from someone else in the aisle, and the side shot seemed to make the most sense. Perspective is a little weird, but it was a quick sketch, so I'm OK with that.

Addendum: Best one-liner response I got on this so far goes to Sue with: they don't want you to put terror paste in your underwear. images/Drawings/Sketches/toothpaste.png
