[Surreal Costume] Once again, a special non-sketch in the Sketchbook entry of the day. And a little late. But who cares, it's fun. This was from our Halloween Costume Ultimate Frisbee Tournament (and I finally got a copy of it after bugging the person who took the picture for 1.5 months nonstop). It's a sort of Magritte variation of the "This is not a pipe" picture and the "Son of Man" (guy with an apple in front of his face). My t-shirt says "this is not a disc" in French ("Ceci n'est pas un disque") in the handwriting style of the original painting, of course there's the frisbee in front of the face, and the bowler hat is there, though a little obscured.

In the background, you can see one guy dressed as "Mario" and just behind me are some of the "power ups" for the tournament games, including the bicycle helmet (which allows traveling), the alligator head/hat (t-rex/pteranosaur arm position), red 1-piece swimsuit (humping defense...don't ask).

Check out the full-size picture.

Oh, and the frisbee is held up by a wire coat-hanger wrapped around my head sticking out in front of my face. It was really windy, so I had to stand so the wind woudln't blow away the frisbee for the picture. And the big metal wire sticking out in front of my forehead was as uncomfortable as it was dangerous, so I took it off to play. Had I been able to play with that (I couldn't), I probably would have won the award for "most impractical costume." Damn. images/Thumbnails/halloween-th.png
