[perspective transformed, texture mapped brick wall] It's mostly a point of honor, but I wanted to show that I can, indeed, pretty easily generate an image with bricks in perspective. Illustrator makes it super-easy to create perspective line-art, which is what I used to create the buildings, door, window and such. I couldn't quite figure out how to get it to warp the bricks, so I just switched to Photoshop which has a nice transform->perspective function that does exactly what I wanted. Yeah, there are stray lines and things aren't exactly lined up perfectly, but this was mostly just to show that it's not that hard to do and I did not lack the capability to do it in the previous image, only the motivation once I lost the source file and would have had to had recreated a lot of things (perhaps lazy is worse than incapable; fortunately it also protects me from caring about it).

I don't know if I'll use these tools commonly or not, but it's nice to know they're available in the toolbox. images/Drawings/Sketches/bricks-perspective.png
