[Today's white plate special.] I had bought a butternut squash at the grocery store earlier in the week and found a few recipes that I used for inspiration. I peeled and roasted the squash, cooked some puy lentils with some assorted spices, steamed some kale, and cut up part fo a vidalia onion and a tomato. I put the squash on top of the rest that was tossed with a balsamic dressing, and topped it with a little bit of cheddar cheese, and some roasted sunflower seeds (from a jar). It came out decently, but seemed like it could have benefited from something else. A bit of salt helped, and I added some dried cranberries on the second serving. I took this picture with my 50mm (effective 75mm) lens. It's a prime lens so the focus is pretty sharp and the slight telephoto aspect is useful for this.
