[I think one pun on the word darn is enough for now.] Two juggling beanbags I have were starting to develop tears in the fabric and one was startig to leak. They've lasted 15 years or more, but they're still pretty solid, and I have 4 other balls (beanbag balls) that show no signs of tearing. So I did some minor surgery on them. The one on the left had a tear going from the center to the right and was starting to leak. The one on the right had a tear starting from the center going out both the the right and the left.

I engaged in a little Frankenstein's Monster darning, with the black thread going up and down and the white threat going side to side, somehwat woven between the others. It should hold the fabric together and form a mesh that'll keep the seeds (they're not beans) inside.

I'm getting a bit closer in learning how to juggle 5 balls and I'd rather not stop now because I'll only have 4 viable juggling balls. So with luck this'll buy some extra life for them. They have been dropped many, many times. images/Drawings/Sketches/darn.jpg
