[See also: "That's a big IF."] I decided to play with the perspective tool in Illustrator. This was a simple 3-point perspective picture. It took a little time to figure out how to make it go, but it's pretty easy to make things that grow or shrink properly when moved near and far. I just wanted to make some big monoliths. But then I needed to include some people to give a sense of proportion. And that led me to think about the quote from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: "he realized that he had proved conclusively that if life is going to exist in a Universe of this size, then the one thing it cannot have is a sense of proportion." Unfortunately, I had already spent enough time putting together and scaling the word "perspective" that I decided that was close enough.

I also figured out an easy way to to make a better looking speech balloon for shouting than I had been using before. (Combine the paths of a star and normal oval. Using 18 points with an inner/outer radius of 1.5:2 made the points less needle-like. I deliberately made it non-symmetric as I wanted to limit how much of the other balloon it would cover.) images/Drawings/Sketches/perspective.png
