[It kind of reminds me of the Italian flag...at least the colors, sort of, if the rice had was white instead of brown...] Time for a little change from the white on black drawings. I made a simple recipe which was a pasta sauce (mine was partially from scratch and partially supplemented with some from a jar) with some tilapia, served with rice (cooked in chicken stock) and at the end I sauteed some spinach with sliced garlic in olive oil. It was pretty simple and tasted pretty good.

I tried a few pictures with my wide angle lens but it's so big it was cutting off some of the flash (and it was too blurry without the flash), so I switched to my 50mm lens. That was fine but then I had to stand on a chair to be far enough away from it to fit it all in the picture. I was also using the speedlight flash in "command mode" as an external flash sync'ed to my camera. It took me about 5 minutes to remember how to set the proper modes for the flash and the camera. I only took one or two with the 50mm lens, since it looked fine, and I had already figured out how to hold the flash without gashing too obnoxious of a shadow and everything looked sharp, and I wanted to have dinner before it got cold. I rotated the image slightly in Lightroom so the stripes were lined up properly. The full size image is here. images/Drawings/Sketches/red-sauce-fish-sm.jpg
