["Ready for a suprise?"] Windows is being a poo and pen strokes with my Wacom tablet in Photoshop under a Win10 VM lag by a second or two, making it really hard to use. Illustrator isn't affected. While I'm trying to figure that out, I decided to play with Krita a bit under Linux. It's fun to doodle a bit, and doodle I did.

This started with a picture of someone with their head down. Then I added her speech balloon. Then for some reason I added the person behind her about to try to cheer her up with a surprise cymbal crash. I don't think it'll work. Then I put the picture on the wall just so it wouldn't be that much white space in the background.

I was trying to draw her more with some suggestions rather than defining everything. For him, I just wanted a crazy expression. Oh, and Krita provides a lot of different brushes to use and the pressure sensitivity allows for a wide size variation within the same pen stroke, hence the anger/headache/pain lines coming from her.

This took maybe 30 minutes to draw, though I drew a few different pictures before it of different things that I didn't like and deleted. Huzzah! images/Drawings/Sketches/surprise-sm.png
