["You wouldn't like me when I quack..."] A few weeks back my friend Katie had a bag of ducks—tiny plastic ones—and offered me one. I took a pale blue one and put it on my desk when I got home. Today I rearranged things and tried putting it on top of the camera I use for Zoom meetings. It fell off 2 seconds later and when I went to retrive it under a different desk, it was easy to spot.

A little too easy to spot.

And the color looked a bit off.

I grabbed it and examined it and it seemed normal. I thought that perhaps under the shadow of the desk it's possible that it might have been… Could it be possible that it was… Could this be a…?

I had to find out.

I grabbed a flashlight and examined it closely but it looked perfectly normal. I bounded into the bathroom and closed the door with the light off and

Holy fuck it's a glow in the dark duck!!!

So I had to take some pictures of it. I set up my tripod in the bathroom and took a few pictures on manual mode guessing the exposure that would work. Then, I did some minor adjustments in Lightroom, and then combined the normal, mild mannered Day Duck, with his neon green noctornal crime-fighting avenger counterpart Night Duck. And now I have put it up for all to see. The full size image is here.

The End.

The moral of the story is that Frank is easily amused.
p.s. The glow around the name was a total afterthougth, but I like it.
