[Perhaps it's just a "momento frigidus"] It's not snowing a lot, but it's enough that there is snow on my car. And that means it's freezing out now (32°F or 0°C) which qualifies as cold or cold enough to be considered cold. There's no snow on the ground, and later it will warm up to be cold rain. 3^rd Winter isn't about horrible winter weather, it's more just a body blow to work on your endurance. We've had nice weather, sunny warm days. Third Winter is a reminder, as you gasp for a few breaths of air, that at any time, your head may be plunged back into the icy cold stream by the hand on the back of your head that pulled you out twice before and is about to push you under for a third time.
