DSC_3551-header: A visit with Pam and Bill
DSC_3551-headertext: The first stop was to catch up with Pam and Bill.  We stayed with them for a couple of days, chit-chatted, geeked out, and had a pleasant time.
DSC_3551: A chat.

DSC_3554: A tangled mat (of yarn).
DSC_3555: Left over Halloween pumpkins.  The Darth Vadar one amuses me.
DSC_3556: The drive to Columbus was rather crappy, with snow, rain, ice, freezing rain, ice pellets, and general assy weather.  The front of my car was coated with ice.  Actually, most of the car had been coated in ice, but I removed the ice on the hood by repeatedly pounding it until the ice shattered and could be removed.  People were giving me strange looks at the gas station in West Virginia.
DSC_3557:  The mirror was icy too.  Note that this is grunge-ice.

DSC_3559: A cute mailbox in the neighborhood (not Pam and Bill's).
DSC_3561: A cute little snow covered chair under a tree in the neighborhood.


DSC_3566-header: Glow in the Dark Putt-Putt
DSC_3566-headertext: Also called Glow-Golf.  Catherine, Cabot, Carina, Allie, Stephanie, and I had a grand time playing 18 holes in black-light.  Carina and I both managed to get the ball in the &quot;special&quot; pocket at the end and won a magnetic LED flashy-thingy.<br/><br/>I did some adjustments to these pictures, but they were all (with one exception) shot with &quot;available light&quot;, which is to say black light, which means the colors were funky and it was pretty dark.  So while the pictures look weird, it really <i>did</i> look pretty weird, color-wise there.

DSC_3567: Cabot wore an Ernie and Bert shirt that looked pretty cool in the black light.

DSC_3575: I'm shooting a hole with a loop-de-loop ramp.
DSC_3588: Cabot came <b>so</b> close to sinking the ball in this one.  Also, this was the only picture in this sequence where I used a flash, since it was pointed at the ground.  In general, I didn't want to be blinding people.

DSC_3595: Mother and daughter.  Unfortunately, it was rather dark.
DSC_3596: The last hole.  There are all sorts of hidden pins, like a pachinko game, below the glowing orange and green bumpers, that affect the course of the ball.  If it lands in the hole with the glowing green circle, you win a prize.  Otherwise the ball drops into a slot below the circle.  Carina and I were the only ones in our group that succeeded at getting the ball in the glow-in-the-dark hole.

DSC_3605-header: Port Columbus Airport
DSC_3605-headertext: After putt-putt, we had to pick up a Dison-friend.  Since we were already in the part of town near the airport, we decided to just go there a few minutes early, take it easy and have appropriate refreshments (coffee, tea, ice cream).  It was actually kind of nice to be in an airport and not be rushed, not have to travel, and not really care about a schedule.

DSC_3610: A very rare shot: Note how everyone else in the airport is moving, but Carina is actually enjoying her ice cream.
DSC_3611: A picture of me and Catherine.  But wait...what's that blue-blur?  The shutter speed was 1/3rd of a second, which is not as fast as Carina...
