We visitied
Castle Rising in Castle Rising, Norfolk. It was built around 1140,
and later was the home of Queen Isabella after she lost power
released by her son in 1331-1358. It's mostly in ruins now, though
some of the rooms still exist. It is currently owned by the Howard
family (no relation, as far as I know, to the Three Stooges).

Castle Rising castle..
019-DSC_0206: Two military planes flew directly overhead,
enroute…somewhere. I don't know what kind of plane it was nor
where it was going to or coming from. And I had my wide angle lens on
at the time, so this was the best shot I could get. Alas.

and made of stone."

034-DSC_0222: Part of the castle where the rooms are still intact.
035-DSC_0223: The text reads: Early Norman Church.
This was built in the late 11th century, before the castle was here.
It lost its ecclesiastical role when the castle banks were errected.

see in the US.
