# # Remember: Put spaces after the colon in the tag name # Subtitle: Flat Stanley, a resident of Madison, WI, spent some time in Ithaca, NY, courtesy of my friend Estelle's son Lucus. Here are some highlights from his busy day here. 000-DSC_6666: He wanted to learn to fly a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, so he could get home to Ithaca quickly. Unfortunately, his feet don't reach the pedals, so it looks like he's going to have to go home by air mail. 001-DSC_6669: He could climb up onto the plane's cowling, but he couln't reach the wing to check the fuel. So he decided to watch the control tower for a bit. 001a-on-lake: Then he headed down to Stewart Park and walked out on Cayuga Lake. Even though it was a warm day, there was still a lot of ice on the lake from the cold winter this year. 002-DSC_6681: His next stop was the bridge by Ithaca Falls. A kind stranger helped straighten his tie. 003-DSC_6685: The falls are pretty big and not flat at all. 004-DSC_6690: Flat Stanley decided to take a little break and play some Ultimate Frisbee. He's got a good backhand and forehand, but his hammer still needs some work. 005-DSC_6693: After a game of ultimate, he decided to explore the Cornell campus. Bailey Hall is a large auditorium where concerts are held. 006-DSC_6696: Flat Stanley decided to climb up the clock tower. It didn't seem all that difficult. 007-DSC_6692: He noticed that it's hard to park on campus, and in fact there are places where you can't park before 5pm and you can't park after 5pm either. 008-DSC_6694: If you do park where you shouldn't, someone in a red shirt might come come. F.S. decided it was best to leave before the car was ticketed, so he didn't even wait for this picture to be taken. 009-DSC_6708: After campus, he wanted to explore one of the two one-lane bridges in the Forest Home area. But it looks like one of the bridges is missing. 010-DSC_6707: It really seems like they don't want people to use that bridge. 011-DSC_6703: So instead, Flat Stanley decided to see if he could cross the river in an excavator, unfortunately, it wasn't designed to be used by someone as small or as flat as he was. After that, it was time for him to head home.
