Subtitle: There were heavy rains for over 30 minutes today (July 14, 2017), maybe closer to an hour. We had some impressive flooding by my apartment complex. My building is on slightly higher ground, so I was fortunate.

00-flood-panorama: A picture of the side of my building and the river going alongside it down into the parking lot. 00-flood1: The backside of my building with fenced in patios. We were lucky, there was still a few feet before the water would even get to the patios. The building to the left was not so lucky. 000-DSC_0492: A vew looking "up-river." 001-DSC_0495: There was some sort of box with a symbol for some sort of shock hazard. I don't think it's normally supposed to be underwater. 002-DSC_0496: From the street. My building is to the left. 003-DSC_0497: The street. The water was coming from the right side. 004-DSC_0498: And cars driving through the standing water kicked up a good spray (I avoided getting splashed). 005-DSC_0500: More cars. 006-DSC_0510: More spray. 007-DSC_0511: Across the street the water level was right at street level. There was a drainage system that went under the road, which is why the road wasn't flooded, and water was spewing out by the apartments. 008-DSC_0512: This is the other building, next to mine. They were getting flooding. A maintenance man was bringing some sand (or salt?) bags. 009-DSC_0513: Downstream, the water was headed directly at the door of two apartents. 010-DSC_0514: The stream on the far side of the building next to mine. 011-DSC_0515: Maybe the metal grate does block water... 012-DSC_0516: Maintenance guys trying to block water from getting into the apartments. 013-DSC_0517:
