# # Remember: no line breaks in the text. # Subtitle: Some pictures taken frome the Ludlowville falls, about 7 miles from Ithaca, on Sunday May 13, 2012. DSC_1257: Ludlowville Falls, from the overlook. There's a rainbow in the lower right corner. DSC_1258: More falls. Very faint rainbow arcing on the bottom. DSC_1263: The right end of the falls really launched itself out from the rocks. DSC_1264: A slower shot of the falls for a smoother effect. DSC_1265: More silky water effects (it was a little difficult to shoot a slow shot on a bright day without a filter. DSC_1266: More Ludlowville Falls. DSC_1267: A shot of Ludlowville Falls from the top of the falls. Note the rainbow at the bottom right of the picture. DSC_1268: Another view from the top of the falls. I didn't feel like getting too close to the edge. DSC_1269: Some rose(?) pedals at the top of the falls. I turned the saturation down on them--they really were that red. I think someone had just thrown them into the water a few minutes before I got there. DSC_1270: The rose pedals aren't right at the edge of the falls, but not much is stopping them from going over the falls. DSC_1272: At the bottom of the falls, looking away from the falls. A bit of grass is growing on top of a rock. DSC_1273: A view of the falls on the path down to the bottom. DSC_1278: A slow shot of the right side of the falls that jets way out, taken from the bottom. DSC_1279: A slow show of the falls from the bottom. DSC_1280: Yet another shot of Ludlowville Falls. DSC_1282: Downstream from the falls, there's a steel deck bridge over Dug Road, with a man on some sort of 4-wheel vehicle (it's not a bicycle or motorcycle). DSC_1284: A slow shot of the stream (Salmon Creek) downstream of the falls. DSC_1285: Another shot of the eddies in Salmon Creek, just a bit downstream from Ludlowville Falls. DSC_1288: Looking back upstream towards the falls, which are around the bend. DSC_1292: There were a LOT of fish in the creek. They're mostly shadows in the water, but one has a fin sticking out of the water. DSC_1293: More pictures of the fish in the creek. They were pretty big. I tried various ways to get them, but they are hard to see. DSC_1295: One more shot of the fish. This time I took a longer exposure, so while details on them may be hard to see, the fish shape in the lower one is pretty clear and the tail shape in the one closer to the rock is also pretty clear. DSC_1303: I guess I'm not the first person to discover that there are fish in the creek. DSC_1305: As I was walking back, there were a few people walking around by the falls. I saw a couple out on the rocks. I was hoping to get a hand-holding shot, but I missed that. But then one pointed out something to the other, and the other then started pointing too. So maybe someday I'll photoshop a Loch Ness Monster or Eiffel Tower into this picture. DSC_1306: A gazebo in the park by the falls. DSC_1308: Gazebo (spoken slowly, as if that will explain things: gah-ZEEEEE-bow!). The sky was actually a bit more blue, but I didn't have a filter and didn't feel like mucking around in photoshop to alter the color significantly. DSC_1311: Inside the gazebo, er, bandstand. DSC_1312: Historical marker sign by the park. DSC_1313: The park and gazebo/bandstand. DSC_1314: The bridge seen in an earlier picture. DSC_1315: The view of the falls from the bridge.
