East Chop is a peninsula on the eastern north side of Martha's Vineyard.
To the west is the Vineyard Haven Harbor and to the east and north is
Vineyard Sound (part of the Atlantic Ocean). A lighthouse marks the
end of the peninsula. It's a five minute walk from the cottage.
We walked along the road by the bluffs. I didn't take any pictures of
the East Chop Lighthouse since I've done that a number of times before
(like
these).

001-DSC_4941: The pay phone's seen better days. Yes, the
"old photograph" color is intentional.
002-DSC_4942: This way to East Chop.
003-DSC_4943: That way to Vineyard Haven.
004-DSC_4945: Frank, bluffing at the bluffs (or chopping at the chops).
005-DSC_4946: A house on East Chop. There's an odd glowing glow in
from something on both sides of rear window visible form the front window.
I know not what it is but found it intriguing.
006-DSC_4947: Now that's a big bluff... (read the name on the sign).
007-DSC_4948: The Earl of Lemongrab finds this water
table…ACCEPTABLE!!!!.
008-DSC_4949: A pier on the Vineyard Sound. On the horizon is the mainland.
I think this is looking north.
009-DSC_4950: Looking south onto the Vineyard Sound from East Chop. In the
distance is the ferry dock at Oak Bluffs which is less sheltered than the
one in Vineyard Haven.
010-DSC_4951: Waves at the beach on East Chop.
011-DSC_4952: Aptly named Goldenrod. I like this picture.
012-DSC_4953: A boat heading out, bouncing in the waves.
013-DSC_4954: I wasn't sure if this boat was heading to Vineyard Haven
Harbor or towards the mainland.
014-DSC_4955: I didn't feel like making a 3 frame animated GIF of the bouncing.
015-DSC_4956: Frog and Walrus are friends. Very close friends.
My sister had told me about having seen these two infant's toys around
a few days earlier. They were arranged differently this time. Also,
there's a pacifier.
016-DSC_4957: "Little Jaws"—this house appeared in the
movie Jaws.
