After dinner on Sunday night (at the Cathedral Café), we walked to the Opera House and I took some pictures of the area at night from the roof. The building is designed so people can walk to the top from the outside and enjoy the view. I played a little with the 'mirror up' mode on my camera (I haven't used it very often).

The Holmenkollen Ski Jump area is on the north west side of town. It was a basic ski jump hill in the that's been built up over the last 100+ years, has hosted the Winter Olympics as well as Nordic World Ski Championships. The hill has been rebuilt 19 times. Seeing it from the Opera House was about as close as we got. I believe there are year-round activities there.

The Ekebergrestauranten is a restaurant and banquet hall sitting on top of a hill overlooking Oslo, a little east of the Opera House. It was originally built in 1929 in a "Functionalist" design, then closed in 1997, then rennovated and reopened in 2005. We didn't go there, but it looks like it'd have a nice view.

Back on the ground, we walked around the opera house and I took a few pictures of some of the things we could see through the windows. And then on the way back to our apartment, I took some pictures of the bike-rack sculptures that are a pack of bicycles. During the day people lock their bikes up to them. At night, they have white lights in front and red in the back.
