I got a frantic call from one of Liz's co-workers at the Wexner Center
yesterday. The guy who called is their local computer fix-it type. He
had just received a call from the lady who runs the Mershon Auditorium
ticket office -- a really nice person, I might add. She was unable to
log into the computer they use to track ticket sales. A disgruntled
employee's last day was Friday, and she was afraid he had hacked the
system and changed the password to cause trouble. The intrepid
computer fix-it guy knew she was using a dBASE system. Knowing that
I knew dBASE, he called me immediately. After a few questions back and
forth, I figured out how the hack was done, and I knew Mr. fix-it could
handle it without my needing to go to the office myself. I told him how
to find and reset the password.

When my wife got home from the Wexner Center yesterday evening, I heard the
rest of the story. It seems the disgruntled employee did indeed change the
system password to get back at his female boss in the ticket office.

The new password?
