I haven't tried soap, but it seems like the coating would be distracting
if it worked and my glasses aren't that spot-free to begin with. Also,
I don't have deionized water at home (only heavy water).

"Breathing differently" doesn't work well unless the "differenty" requires
some extensive surgery or perhaps a rear-facing nose.

I've tried the tissue between the mask and bridge of my nose and that works
for a little while then becomes way more trouble than it's worth.

Surgical tape also works, but has its own problems (repeatedly ripping it
off your face).

My current two approaches are just not wearing my glasses and relying on
radar, or letting them fog and not caring. I think the glasses temperature
eventually stabilizes after a half hour, which means I'm beyond the
produce section at Wegmans which mostly doesn't require me to read labels
anyway and I can rely on radar and the screams of other people to guide me.

Of course I'm talking about real glasses, not safety glasses.

But really it's not just the safety glasses that matter, it's more about the
distance. The social distance to stay safe.

You know...

S (s s s ) A (a a a) F (f f f) E (e e e ) T (t t t) Y (y y y)

SAFETY

DISTANCE

We can shop if we want to
We can leave your cart behind
And if your friends don't space
Then if they don't space
And they're no friends of mine

Say, we can go where we want to
Though it's a place we'll never find
And we can act like can't
see out of this fog
because we don't breathe through our behind

And we can space
Or distance

We can go where we want to
As long as it's not inside
And we can dress in PPE
>From our hats to our feet
And in an hour our brains are fried

Say, we can mask if we want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile

[refrain]
Say, distance, distance
The pandemic's out of control
Distance, safety distance
It's spread from pole to pole
Just distance, distance
Everybody check on your toes
Social distance, 6 foot distance
If you don't, you're taking a chance
Safety distance
Oh well, safety distance
Ah yes, safety distance

We can breathe if we want to
We've still got your life and mine
As long as we don't breathe it, never gonna lose it
Everyting'll work out fine (riiiiiight...)

We can distance if we want to (live)
Leave your Trump friends far behind
Because your friends are sick
And if they are sick
Well they're no friends of mine

[repeat refrain]
etc.
