Alternatively, press the left or right arrow keys.
To scroll horizontally for panoramic pictures, either
click on the horizontal scrollbar, or hit <shift>-<tab>
to toggle focus off of the main window, and then the arrow keys
will work as usual.
Hitting the <tab> key then returns focus to the main
window and the left and right arrow keys will perform as
described above.

I thought this was just some sort of stylized sculpture of a Nordic Rune. Turns out it was a bit tricky to find out what this sculpture was, but my friend Brendan was able to track this down. It's called Soltreet, created by Arne Vinje Gunnerud in 1984. In 2011, it was hit by a truck and broken in two. After three years, it was supposed to be repaired, but as of May 2015, it had not.
