Rochester Fringe Festival
After some east coast traveling, I spent a few days in Rochester. I saw the Rochester Fringe Festival, a sort of street fair, on Friday September 20, 2013. I borrowed a bicycle from a friend and rode with another friend downtown and around the area. The weather was great. We caught a local music group (there are many Eastman trained musicians in the area, playing all styles of music), then stopped at High Falls, a waterfall from the Genesee River. Then onto Manhattan Square part to watch Project Bandaloop dance on the side of the Xerox Tower, and then got dinner where the food trucks were.
The the first part of a trip was to Martha's Vineyard.
The second was to Walden Pond.
This is the third part of the trip.

Cello Show
We caught a group of 6 cellists performing at a coffee shop. They were decent, though my socks remained on my feet, unblown off.

The audience at the coffee shop; it was a pretty packed house.
High Falls
We biked to High Falls, which was unrelated to the Fringe Festival but nearby in downtown Rochester. The Genesee Brewing Company is there too. I took some pictures of the falls and then we stopped at the bar and took in the view from the top deck.

Project Bandaloop on the Xerox Tower
Project Bandaloop are a set of dancers who perform high up on walls. Because of the size of the building, as they swing from left to right and back again, they can be in the air for 5-10 seconds. It looks like some zero-g dance troup. They danced on the Xerox Tower, a 30 floor building, over 400 feet high. The dancers were probably about 200 feet up on ropes and harnesses. It was quite impressive.

Fringe Festival—Manhattan Square Park
We watched Bandaloop from Manhattan Square Park. There were food trucks there (with some pretty good food) and various other things. It was a neat place.
