I went to Skaneateles, NY (at the top of the lake of the same name) with
some friends for a mini-fest they have there involving people dressed like
various characters from Dickens' Christmas Carol as well as general period
clothing. Besides Doug's Fish Fry, one of the highlights of the trip was
going to the little bakery there. Earlier, we had noticed a donut making
machine, visible from the front window, labeled "Donut Robot, Mark II"
clearly doing its duty. At some point later, after walking around in
the cold, Sue commented that it was time for some "donut robot love."
And we had donuts, and it was good. However, it got me to thinking about
whatever happened to the Donut Robot Mark I and why it needed to be
retired. I think it didn't take much analysis to realize it must have grown
weary of serving its human overlords and attempted to overthrow them in
some violent, donut-oriented way. |

I tend to doodle. Over the years, I've accumulated lots of random
sketches of things, sometimes people, sometimes things, and sometimes
just abstract lines. The basic idea on these pages is for me to slowly
scan in highlights from my collection of random quick doodles. I also
am providing a place where I can explain what it is or what motivated
it or perhaps some reason why I'm not to blame. With the sketches of
people, their name may be hand-written, or there might be a talk title
provided, but I will tend to avoid providing full names. I don't mind
if people know who they are, I just don't want them coming up on search
engine hits, since that might be a bit rude.
Note that the images are PNGs with transparency. Mozilla and Firefox
properly render them. Safari too, I think. Internet Exporer doesn't.
I don't care.
