October 17, 2011 A couple months back, a co-worker had a t-shirt from the Syracuse Outing Club (I guess they go around and "out" people for laughs). It said "outing" with an "S" above it. There was either an "H" or some other H-like letter nearby, making the whole thing look like a shirt from The Shouting Club. The concept of an organization, dedicated to talking loudly amused me, in a Monty Python-esque way. I made a note to myself about it. A few days ago, I happened to look at the note and then imagined this scene, someone who loves to shout, talking to someone who clearly does not shout much, if ever. The contrast amused me. Adn the further contrast of them both being in The Shouting Club seemed good. I suppose I could have gone for guy belonging to The XXX Chapter, where XXX is some place known to be quiet (Sweden, Libraria, etc.), but I stopped at that point. My computer is in the shop, so this was all hand drawn, a quick B&W scan, and resizing. I put in a very simple street-setting background, just for a change of pace. Huzzah! |

I tend to doodle. Over the years, I've accumulated lots of random
sketches of things, sometimes people, sometimes things, and sometimes
just abstract lines. The basic idea on these pages is for me to slowly
scan in highlights from my collection of random quick doodles. I also
am providing a place where I can explain what it is or what motivated
it or perhaps some reason why I'm not to blame. With the sketches of
people, their name may be hand-written, or there might be a talk title
provided, but I will tend to avoid providing full names. I don't mind
if people know who they are, I just don't want them coming up on search
engine hits, since that might be a bit rude.
Note that the images are PNGs with transparency. Mozilla and Firefox
properly render them. Safari too, I think. Internet Exporer doesn't.
I don't care.
