September 04, 2025 Recently, I was in the Amherst, MA area for the wedding of two friends. The next morning, I spend a little time wandering around Northampton. It's a cute college town (with 5 colleges in the area). It reminds me if Ithaca in some ways, but it's bigger and more vibrant—at least the downtown area was. It was Sunday morning, so everything was closed, but that was OK. In my wanderings, I saw this art gallery and liked the look of the sign. Looking online, it seems like a neat place as a concept, but unfortunately from the reviews it sounds like it's not great for the artists there, so I won't mention its actual name (think: the type of colleges in the area). Anyway, I liked the creepy blue monster on the sign. |

I tend to doodle. Over the years, I've accumulated lots of random
sketches of things, sometimes people, sometimes things, and sometimes
just abstract lines. The basic idea on these pages is for me to slowly
scan in highlights from my collection of random quick doodles. I also
am providing a place where I can explain what it is or what motivated
it or perhaps some reason why I'm not to blame. With the sketches of
people, their name may be hand-written, or there might be a talk title
provided, but I will tend to avoid providing full names. I don't mind
if people know who they are, I just don't want them coming up on search
engine hits, since that might be a bit rude.
Note that the images are PNGs with transparency. Mozilla and Firefox
properly render them. Safari too, I think. Internet Exporer doesn't.
I don't care.
