Sunday, April 28th, 2019. Once I left Daryl, I went back to the CityBox hotel, picked up my bags, then went to the Oslo S train station, about two blocks away. I bought ticket for the next train to the airport, which was arriving and leaving in about ten minutes. 20-30 minutes after that I was at the airport. The check-in was easy. There's an export customs screening before I checked my bag and the agent asked if I had bought anything. I said I had a tea towel and also a little moose. (It was actually a small reindeer stuffed animal for a friend's daughter.) The agent looked at me for a moment and then asked, "It's a souvenir?" Then I understood his question and said, "Yes. It's not a real one." I was not transporting any moose-meat with me. The flight was uneventful and we arrived in JFK 30 minutes early at 9:30pm. Therefore, as a penalty we had to wait 45 minutes for a gate. Things dragged on; it took an hour for our bags to arrive. There were no problems, it was just slow. I took the subway into Manhattan that that was more waiting, plus it was a bit of Crazytown that night, so it was about 2:30am before I got to the hotel. It was a long day. But a good two weeks.
